The Tevis Host Program is for the benefit of out-of-state and foreign riders, along with their crews. The program is designed to offer services and information, and to welcome these people to Auburn and the Western States Trail. This innovative idea will help riders familiarize themselves with the trail, local facilities, and help make the ride as pleasurable and memorable as possible.
Local Tevis riders and supporters who are familiar with the trail and local businesses have volunteered to provide the following services during the week (or more) prior to the ride:
In addition to all of the above, there will be a fully-hosted barbecue at a private home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28 for foreign riders and their crews, where they will meet local riders and members of the Western States Trail Foundation Board of Governors. We will try to have interpreters available for those foreign riders who request it.
If you’d like to participate in any portion of this new and exciting program, please contact the Western States Trail Foundation office at 530.823.7282 or Leonard Davis at 530.889.1909 (email: ldavis530@sbcglobal.net). Please respond as early as possible to Leonard Davis if you are coming to the barbecue and let him know how many in your party will be attending.
Welcome to California — and welcome to Auburn, the Endurance Capital of the World!
