Tevis Training Ride 2025 Entry

Entries limited to 40 riders. A wait list will be maintained. This form closed at 7:00pm on Sunday, June 8th at midnight.

Tevis Training Ride 2025 Information:

Rider Requirement:

Rider must be “Tevis Qualified” (i.e. has either completed Tevis in the past, or has “300 miles of rides sanctioned by WSTF, AERC, NATRC, and/or a national/international equivalent. All rides were 35 miles/day or more in length. The 300 miles are cumulative lifetime”).

Horse Requirements:

Horse must be 6 yrs old and have 50+ mile one-day distance fitness. This is to protect your equine. We are riding on remote trails, with significant climbs, and little access. Just like the actual Tevis Ride, during the vet checks horses will be monitored carefully, but we don’t want any horse getting into trouble somewhere we can’t easily get to them. Before you even start, make sure your horse is up for the task!

Mentors:

If you would like a mentor to ride with you during the weekend, one can be provided for a $50 fee – please check the appropriate box on the entry. As well as acting as a guide (although the trail will be ribboned!), a mentor can provide valuable information about the Tevis Cup Ride, the trail, logistics during the Ride, etc.

Cleaning Deposit:

The USFS requires horse campers to clean up their camp sites to USFS standards. This means bring a leaf rake! We will have a manure dumpster on site. At sign-up riders will be required to pay a $40 cleaning deposit that will be refunded via PayPal after the event once their camp clean-up has been approved.

Cancellation Policy:

Life is what happens while we’re making other plans. Both for the Tevis and the Training Ride, you may set the goal but your horse may still get hurt. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. Let the next rider on the wait list move up in line by canceling as soon as you know. The deadline to cancel and receive a full refund less a $30 admin. fee is June 8th.

Payment Method

All digital entries are to be paid via credit card through PayPal at the time you submit your entry.
