This past year has been a challenge – fire and snow have greatly impacted our trail and event. To meet these challenges, we’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $25,000. This will directly help offset this year’s unusual costs.
No amount is too small and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
Please bookmark this page to have these useful Ride Day links at your fingertips!
Note that this year’s “snow course” means that riders will be arriving at checkpoints approximately an hour earlier than usual, through Francisco’s.
Some links may not be active until the day, and some links may change closer to the event.
- Webcast – Track your rider from checkpoint to checkpoint.
- SPOT Tracker Page – Track your rider(s) as they go down the trail via GPS. This year ALL riders have been assigned trackers
- Rider List (sortable) and Rider List by Number (non-sortable) – accurate to Thursday prior to the ride. Please see rider list on the Webcast for any last minute changes that may have happened at Soda Springs
- Tevis Facebook – this will be updated with comments, photos, and live video throughout the day
- Tevis YouTube Channel – We hope to broadcast a live cam directly from Red Star Ridge vet check, starting around 7:00 am.
- Flickr Photos – from our army of roaming volunteer photographers, these will be uploaded they are able to access internet in the field. Likely they will be slow to update initially, but will eventually flood in during the days following the ride
- Ride Week Agenda
- Checkpoint Card – for information on checkpoints, mileage, cut-off times, pulse criteria, etc.
- 2023 Snow Route
- Checkpoint Locations and History – for a little background history on checkpoints plus a little more, while you await riders. Note this page refers to the traditional route. Because of snow, this year’s route will be different prior to Red Star and after Francisco’s.
Schedule of Video Coverage:
* All times are approximate and highly dependent on when the first horses arrive at each location, or when events get started. Sign up for live event notifications on both Facebook and our YouTube Channel. Times are shown in local Pacific time.
Friday
- Keep an eye on Tevis Facebook (FB) throughout the day for interviews and coverage from Soda Springs as we are able to upload it. We hope to livecast the crew meeting; new rider briefing; and pre-ride meeting.

- 5:30* am – (FB) from approx. 6 miles into the ride as the sun rises
