Seeking Tevis horses

I am looking to do an exchange for a Tevis horse for a 100-ride on one of my horses on the east coast. My horses are capable and well trained. I’d like to exchange with a light or featherweight if possible. I’ve completed 4500+ endurance miles with 88% completion rate, 15-100 miles starts and 11 completions. I would like to lease a horse for the Tevis educational ride 2022 (and would need to go with someone to camp and do the ride, etc). My name is Vanessa Erickson. I am 16 years old and looking for a possible Tevis horse and sponsor for 2022. I have been riding endurance since I was 9 years old and it has always been my dream to ride Tevis. I have trained under and interned for Amber Clark for the last 7 years. I have ridden 5 different horses on endurance rides and over 70 different training horses under Amber’s guidance. I am very open to all possibilities of feed leases, work exchange programs, anything that I can do to find an equine partner for this years season and Tevis! I am Located in Lincoln, CA. Paradise in Pilot Hill with stunning views: 32 foot Outdoor RV travel trailer located on a 5-acre horse ranch just a short trailer-ride from the Western States Trail. We have room for 2 horses (for an additional charge) and room for trailer parking with an easy turn around. Located 5 miles from Cool, 3 miles from Cronan Ranch, and 12 miles to Auburn – Endurance Capital of the World. Nearby you can run, hike, mountain bike or ride horses; close to whitewater rafting on the South Fork of the American River; historic Coloma – site of 1848 gold discovery; wine tasting; and Folsom Lake. Enjoy amazing views, fire pit and a propane BBQ. Our one bedroom trailer is out fitted with top of the line linens, cookware and outdoor tableware. Sliger Mine Ranch has room for several horses that want to prepare for Tevis 2022. Saddle-up here and a three-mile ride to the Tevis trail Poverty Bar crossing. A left turn takes you to the finish line in Auburn and a right turn cross the American River heading to Francisco’s vet check. Plenty of room for all accommodations needed for a successful event. We have room for your LQ as well so, you and your horses and friends will find a pleasant and fun way to prepare for a successful event! Four Tevis Cup winners have been bred and raised here at SMR.
